As leader of our team of caregivers, Dr. Tracy has a lifetime of oral and maxillofacial training and experience. He specializes in dental implant, wisdom teeth, teeth extractions, bone grafting, sleep apnea, jaw surgery and other oral and maxillofacial treatments..
Dr. David Tracy
A San Diego native, Dr. Tracy studied at Palomar College and San Diego State. He received his Doctorate in Dental Science from Georgetown University and did his Postdoctorate Study at the University of Southern California. Dr. Tracy has lectured and published and is a member of many professional organizations, including: the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the California Dental Association.

Technology

Areas of Expertise
Dental Implants
Dental implants offer a permanent solution to missing teeth. Dr. Tracy has the ability to place single and multiple implants to bring your smile back and relieve any related diseases of the mouth.
Wisdom Teeth
We specialize in wisdom teeth removal. Although it is possible to have no issues with these late developing “extra” teeth, oftentimes there isn’t room for them in the jaw. If left untreated they can cause damage to other nearby teeth.
Teeth Extractions
At times, a tooth or series of teeth are so compromised by disease and age, that it becomes necessary to remove them. Dr. Tracy and the team at Carlsbad OMS are practiced in teeth extractions and understand that your comfort is of the utmost importance.
